OK, so those of you who read my blog It’s not easy being mum of a model (https://justsayingmum.wordpress.com/2015/12/19/its-not-easy-being-mum-of-a-model/) will understand just how easy (read terrifyingly, horrific) I find deciding what to wear when accompanying model daughter to fashion shoots. In fact, it’s a huuuuuge deal! So, you can just imagine my delight/mortification when model daughter and myself received an invite to the Moschino Show next weekend! How exciting? How utterly cool and schamaaazing? But … reality kicks in and eeek, eeek and more eeek – this is going to take some planning on a major scale … thank goodness for google.
Well, to be honest, it seemed like a good place to start. I didn’t have any other ideas. So, when I typed in fashion show images I got this – sent me into a spiralling panic:

…just look at all those effortlessly cool types with their beautiful clothes, their slightly tousled hair, their stunning shoes screaming designer, designer, designer and, can you believe it? … bare legs! Bare legs? One, it’s January and two, I haven’t had my legs bare in winter since I was 12! Terrific!
OK, lets have a look at some more images …

Oh great … that’ll be more bare flesh and more super cool and beautiful people.
OK, so I’m now having an adolescent strop – I know the crowds are not there to look at me but I don’t want to look like a frumpy mummy! I don’t want to look like an uncool, wannabe! I don’t want to go bare legs. I don’t want to have to get a spray tan. I just want to blend in naturally! Is that too much to ask?
OK, so what would a woman my age (whispers forty-something) be expected to wear to a fashion show? Lets google that…
